How to Kill Roaches Fast?

1.) Moth Balls to Kill Roaches

Using moth balls is among the traditional methods to kill roaches. It not only prevents roach infestations but also prevents other insects from entering the house. Moreover, it is not costly and easily available in the market. Moth balls consist of naphthalene, which is an organic compound. This chemical kills the insects by its strong smell. The smell of naphthalene blocks the respiratory tract of cockroaches and kills them. To try this remedy, all you need to do is purchase moth balls and keep it in the area where there are a maximum number of cockroaches. Using moth balls will not cause you any side effects.

2.) Boric Acid to Prevent Roaches

Boric acid is a homemade remedy to prevent roaches.  This acid is found in products like detergents, toothpaste soaps or so on. It is made by mixing boron and water, which makes it less toxic as compared to boron. It kills the cockroaches by its strong smell or eating this chemical. To try this remedy, take some boric acid and mix in a bucket of water. Now spill this water in the bathroom, sinks or so on. 3.) Coffee Grinds to Get Rid of Roaches

You can try some coffee grinds to avoid roaches in your house. As coffee consists of caffeine. It has a strong aromatic smell. Because of this sharp smell, it helps to eliminate roaches. Cockroaches feed on any eatable. They are especially attracted to coffee grounds. To use coffee grinds, take a glass jar. Fill it with water. Now take a small cup and place wet coffee grinds in it. Place this cup inside all jars. Keep it against the wall or any other place where there is maximum roaches are nesting. The cockroaches will attract to the aroma of coffee. Keep your eye on the jar for some days. You will find that number of cockroaches are killed. Try this remedy with no side effects.

4.) Borax and Sugar to Kill Roaches

Borax is a chemical compound which helps to kill the roaches. It is poisonous in nature. Sprinkling borax to insects acts as a slow poison to them. You can also use this remedy overnight. As cockroaches are nocturnal insects, so this remedy is very effective at night. To apply this remedy, take some borax powder and sprinkle it in the places where there is a maximum roach infestation. Alternatively, you can mix water and borax powder and spill it in drills, sinks or bathrooms. You can also prepare a bait with borax. Take some borax powder. Mix some sugar and water. Make it balls. 5.) Bay Leaves to Avoid Roaches

This can be a best home-made remedy to repel cockroach. Bay leaf is a natural spice which is extensively used in cooking. These leaves have a very strong smell. This smell helps to block the respiratory tract of cockroaches. Therefore, it kills roaches. Sometimes it makes the cockroach run away from the house. To try this remedy, take some fresh leaves of a bay plant. Keep them in the area where you find many cockroaches. You will notice the amazing results in a few days. 6.) Baking Soda to Prevent Roaches

Baking Soda is very effective to prevent roaches. As it is alkaline in nature. It kills the insects by lowering down the level of pH by osmosis. Baking soda has also sharp smell. It helps to block the nasal chamber or respiratory tract of insects and eliminates them. To try this remedy all you need is baking soda and water. In a bucket of water, add 2 spoons of baking soda. Mix it. Spill this water in sinks, pipes or so on. Alternatively, you can mop your floors with the help of baking soda water. Try this remedy regularly, until you get rid of cockroaches. 7.) Ammonia to Avoid Roaches

If you want to kill roaches, try ammonia. As ammonia has a very pungent smell. It smells like rotten eggs. This disgusting smell of ammonia irritates the roaches and repels them. These small insects can’t bear such a sharp smell. So either they run away or die. To use this remedy, take around two cups of ammonia. Mix it in a bucket of water. Flush it in your kitchen, bathrooms or some other outlet. You can also mop your floor with this water. Also clean the tiles, furniture, or other material with this alkaline water. Repeat this remedy once a week to keep your home free from roaches.

8.) Cayenne Pepper to Kill Roaches

Cayenne pepper is very effective to get rid of cockroaches.  This is a natural herb which is easily available in the market. It is also cost-friendly. Cayenne pepper is a natural repellent to roaches. To try this remedy all you need to do is take some cayenne pepper. Crush them. Add some water in it to make its paste. Now prepare its bait by adding some sugar in it. Make its small balls. Place these balls near the area where there is a maximum roach infestation. You can also sprinkle the powder of cayenne pepper. 9.)  Catnip to Prevent Roaches

Catnip is a type of herb which naturally repels the roaches. It is also a safe method without harming your pets or children. The catnip consists of nepetalactone which helps to eliminate the roaches.  The strong smell of this herb is very effective to kill roaches. To use this remedy, take this herb. Put its leaves near the place where roach infestation is maximum. Also, you can buy small sachets of catnip leaves which are specially made to kill insects. Alternatively, you can boil catnip leaves in water. Put it in a spray bottle. Now spray this liquid in your house to kill roaches.

10.) Essential Oils to Get Rid of Roaches

Essential oils are very effective to kill roaches. These essential oils have a very pleasant smell to human. In case of insects, this smell is very annoying. The different oils which you can use are lavender oil, rosemary, eucalyptus, lemon or so on. To try this remedy put few drops of oil in the roach infested area. You can also use room perfumes, room fresheners or so on. All you need to do is spray some essential oil. This will help you to get rid of cockroaches.
