Ways to Pluck Eyebrows:

1.) Get Tweezer to Pluck Eyebrows

You should buy stainless steel tweezers because they are better than alloy or nickel tweezers. This metal is suitable for all skin type and guard against any skin infection.

  • If the traditional type of tweezers just doesn’t work for your, then you can buy scissor style tweezers. They are equipped with slanted and square tips as well.
  • Smoother pulling of the hair or better functionality can be determined by how comfortable you are to handle tweezers. If the arms of the tweezers are too narrow, choose wide grip one with oval handles.
  • You should check for the matte finish or epoxy coating or you can use rubber padding for better to ensure better grip onto the tweezers.
  • Use slanted tweezers for the regular shaping of eyebrows over the pointed tweezers. Pointed tweezer is made to pull out ingrown hair or the square tipped hair.

2.) Soften the Skin Around your Brows

Soften the skin around your eyebrows. When the skin there is soft and supple, the hairs slide out much more easily when you will pluck eyebrows. Plucking the hair from the dry skin make the skin more painful.

  • You can also put lotions in your eyebrows to make them softer and easier to pluck.
  • If you want to pluck at other time of the day, wash your face with warm water. You can also wet your washcloth and put it in the hottest water. Then place it on your eyebrows for 2 minutes. It will open the pores and make it easier to pluck.
  • Make sure to pluck your eyebrows just right after you take the shower. Steam and warm water will leave your skin moist and supple.

3.) Identify the Direction in which your Eyebrow Hair Grows

For most people, the hair grows outward from the nose toward the hairline. Some people’s brows have hair growing in more than one direction. You should pull the hairs in the direction of their growth when you pluck eyebrows, this helps them come out cleanly.

4.) Hold Tweezers like a Pencil to Pluck Eyebrows

Take a pair of tweezers in your hand like you hold a pencil. The open end should be up and give it a few squeezes so you are comfortable with the motion you will need to pluck eyebrows.

  • Place the tip of the tweezer at the root of the hair you want to pluck. Get as close to the root of the hair as possible and pull. Always pull the hair in the direction of hair growth. Keep the tweezers angled as close to the skin as possible.
  • Continue this until you have finished plucking one brow, then repeat on the other eyebrow. If you want some rest than its ok resume plucking when you are ready.
  • Sometimes plucking eyebrows cause the nose to itch and eyes to tear up. That perfectly normal just keep going until you are finished.

5.) Figure out the Place where your Brows Should Begin

This should be done according to your face, but the same technique is used to find anyone’s brow line. It also depends how thin or thick eyebrow you want.

  • You can take an eyebrow pencil or another long instrument and line it up from inner corner of your eye to the edge of your nose.
  • You should prefer using a white pencil to make a dot above the spot where it crosses your eyebrow. This is the place where your brow should begin. Repeat this process with the other nostril.
  • You don’t need to worry to move a dot little forward or backward because this technique only gives you general spot where your eyebrows should begin, rest of the things depends on your personal preferences.
  • The instrument you are using to find your brow’s starting place should be very thin.
  • If you are using something thick, you will not be able to place a dot perfectly.

6.) Figure out where your Brows Should Peak

Your nicely groomed eyebrows arch around the eye, and the place where they peak can make a big difference in your final look.

  • Use the same instrument, and this time line it up from the outer edge of your nostril to the outer edge of your iris.
  • Mark the spot where it crosses your brow, repeat on the other side of the eyebrow.

7.) Mark Where your Brow Should End

This time you have to line up the instrument from the edge of your nostril to the outer corner of your eye to pluck eyebrows. Mark the spot where it falls across your brow. This is where your brow should naturally end, then repeat this process on the other side.

8.) Figure out How Thick you want your Brows Should be

Your thickness of your eyebrows depends on your face shape and style choices. You have to decide the thickness in mind before you start plucking. You will have to avoid plucking too much or too little.

  • If you have larger eyes, you can balance them with thicker brows. If you have small eyes then you can balance them with thinner brows.
  • The space between you brows and your eyes. If your brows are high on your forehead, then you can choose to go with heavier brows to help frame your eyes.  If your eyebrows are set low then go with thinner brows, so that they don’t look two have over your eyes.

9.)  Use an Eyebrow Brush to Brush the Hair Straight up

Brush your eyebrows slightly in the direction in which  they grow. You will see some long, unruly hair that need to be plucked. Be precise while doing so. Make sure you pluck the unruly hair only.

10.) Pluck Eyebrows that Fall Outside the Dots you Made

Carefully pluck a hair at a time, shape your brows according to the plan you made.

  • Pluck the hair that are closer to your nose than the dots you have drawn over your inner brows.
  • Shape your arch areas by plucking a few hairs around the peaks to give them a perfect shape.
  • Pluck the hair that are closer to your temples than the dots you drew on the outside of your brows.
  • Pluck more hairs from the bottom of your brows to make them as thick or thin as you’d like.

11.) Don’t Overpluck

Slowly shape your eyebrows. Step back and look in the mirror every few seconds to check your progress. Don’t pluck your brows too much; eyebrow hairs take approximately 6 weeks to grow back, and sometimes they don’t grow back at all.

12.) Use Brow Gel for a Perfect Look

Comb your brows in the direction of their growth and apply a bit of brow gel, you can also use hair gel to hold them in place.
