Ways to Shrink Pores:

1.) Sugar Scrub to Exfoliate Skin

You can easily make a sugar scrub at your home. Sugar scrub helps to reduce large pores as they exfoliate the skin and remove impurities and excess oil. You can make a scrub by mixing a few drops of lemon juice, with one tablespoon of olive oil and two tablespoons of sugar. Gently rub this scrub on your face in a circular motion for about 15 to 20 minutes, then wash off your face with lukewarm water. Apply this remedy once or twice a week to get the positive result.

You can also put a little sugar on a lemon slice and gently rub it all over your face in a circular motion. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes, then wash off your face with lukewarm water. Use this remedy two to three times a week to shrink pores. You can also apply a combination of equal part of lemon juice, honey, and sugar to make a scrub. Gently massage your skin. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off your face with lukewarm water. Use this remedy once or twice a week until you get desired results.

2.) Egg Whites to Close Pores

Egg white not only help to shrink large pores but it also helps to tone and tighten the skin. It also helps to remove excess oil out from the skin. You can just simply use this, whisk an egg white and spread it on your face. After applying egg white cover your skin with tissue paper. Leave it for 15 to 20 minute, then peel them off when the mixture gets dry completely. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and do this once or twice a day for a month.

You can also mix equal amount of egg whites with lemon juice. Spread this solution on your face evenly and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes to dries it completely. Rinse it off with cool water and repeat it two to three times a week for a month, to see the positive result. You can also whisk an egg white with two tablespoons of each oatmeal and lemon juice. Apply this mixture on your face evenly. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes to dry it completely. Then wash off your face with warm water. Repeat this remedy twice a week for a few month.

3.) Yogurt to Shrink Pores

Lactic acid present in yogurt helps to remove excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells hence minimizes the appearance of open pores. It also helps to remove wrinkles and fine lines from your face. Apply yogurt on your face and leave it for 10 minutes to sit. Then rinse it off with cool water. Apply it daily on your face at least a month for a better result.

You can also add one tablespoon of gram flour with two tablespoons of yogurt. Apply this paste on your face and leave it for at least 10 to 15 minutes, then wash it off with cool water. Use this remedy three to four times a week for a month to see the positive result. Those who have excess oily skin or acne prone skin. They can apply a mixture of two crushed aspirin tablet powder with one teaspoon of yogurt and one egg white. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes then rinse it off with cool water. Repeat this process two to three times a week. The result will be in front of you between two to three weeks.

4.) Lemon Juice for Larger Pores

Lemon juice works as a natural astringent and it is also very cost-effective. It contains citric acid that helps to exfoliate your skin and reduce the appearance of open pores. Lemon juice will also help to improve your skin complexion and remove dark spots due to its natural bleaching effects.

Squeeze a juice from one lemon and mix one teaspoon of honey with it. Apply this solution on your face and, leave it for about 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off this solution with lukewarm water. Repeat this remedy for at least one month. You can also mix two tablespoons of lemon juice with one tablespoon of tomato juice. Apply this mixture on your face and leave it for about 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat this three to four times a week for one to two month to see the positive result. You can also make a mixture of one teaspoon of each cinnamon powder and lemon juice. Apply this mixture on your face with the help of cotton ball for about 10 to 15 minutes. Use this solution once a day for at least a month to shrink pores.

5.) Apple Cider Vinegar to Shrink Pores

It is a quick and cheap remedy to shrink pores. Apple cider vinegar works as a natural astringent and skin toner. It helps to tighten your skin, reduce the size of pores and restore skin’s ph balance. It also has anti- inflammatory and anti- microbial property that helps to treat acne breakouts.

Mix one part of apple cider vinegar with two parts of water. Soak a cotton ball in this solution and apply it on your face, or you can use a small spray bottle to spray on your face. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Use this remedy every night after cleansing your face. Use this solution with a little moisturizer to avoid dry skin. This method may be little harsh for the sensitive skin people.

6.) Baking Soda to Close Larger Pores

Baking soda works as a natural exfoliating agent. It also helps to remove excess oil, dirt, and debris from your skin. It also helps to balance the ph level of the skin and reduces the problem like pimples and acne due to its anti- inflammatory and antibacterial properties. This is very effective for buffing dead skin cells. Dead skin cells clog the pores and enhance their appearance. So it is used as a natural exfoliant and help to reduce the appearance of pores.

Mix two baking soda with lukewarm water. Massage this solution in a circulation motion with the help of cotton ball on your face for a few seconds. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this process once a day for a week to shrink pores. Then you can reduce the frequency to two to three times a week for a few weeks.

7.) Ice to Minimize Pores

Ice is very effective and easily available home remedy to shrink pores. It helps to tighten your skin, it is also used to minimize large pores before makeup. Ice also helps to stimulate blood circulation and promote healthier skin.

Take a clean washcloth and wrap a few pieces of ice cubes. Hold it on your skin for 15 to 20 seconds. Use this remedy few times a day and reduce the frequency of applying, when you see the positive result. Or you can simply wash your face with ice-cold water daily. You can also enhance the result by infusing water for ice-cube with apple juice, green tea, rose water and cucumber.

8.) Oatmeal to Shrink Pores

Oatmeal helps to remove excess oil and dead skin cell from the skin, which is responsible for making open pores appear larger. It is great for exfoliating the skin. Oatmeal also helps to soothe the skin and those who have sensitive skin can also use this remedy.

Take two tablespoons of oatmeal and mix it with five tablespoons of honey and two tablespoons of milk powder. Gently rub it in a circular motion on your face and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes to get dry. Rinse it off with cool water. Repeat once or twice a week for a few months.

9.) Steam Bath to Minimize Pores

The steam bath is essential for your skin and it is also recommended by estheticians for opening up the pores to clean them. Cleaning out your pores can help you to minimize their appearance. It is a cheap and natural way to minimize your pores.  You can also add scented oils and herbs for a nice scented bath. Spas often use steam baths for the treatment of large pores before a facial. Heat up some water in a pot or kettle. Heat a larger pot to make sure you have enough for a steam bath.

10.) Cucumber to Shrink Pores

Cucumber works as a natural astringent to shrink pores. It also helps to improve your skin texture and gives a fresh glow. Squeeze one fresh cucumber and extract its juice. Dip a cotton ball in the juice and apply it on your face. Then rinse it off with cool water after 10 to 15 minutes. Or you can also add a little lemon juice or rose water with a cucumber juice.
