Steps to Apply Makeup:
1.) Know About your Skin Type Before you Apply Makeup
- The first and foremost thing before you start applying makeup is to know your skin type. Generally, people have dry, oily, combination and normal skin types. When you visit a cosmetic store, the sales assistants there are generally trained to understand your skin type. They can easily do an analysis of your skin and will suggest some products according to the type of your skin. So, you can try these products at the counter and purchase them after you find them useful.
- Alternatively, you can also ask for some sample sized products or sometimes, even free samples, if available.
- You can also visit drugstore which offers similar products at lesser prices. But, remember the suggestions of sales assistants and also see yourself as which product feels more appropriate on your skin.
- Once you have gathered all the products you need, you can start with the makeup application.
2.) Get your Face Ready to Apply Makeup
- Makeup is similar to an art where your aim is to make your face look as natural as it can, even though you might be using a lot of products.
- The most important thing is to maintain the health of your skin.
- Go for facials and try to keep your skin well hydrated.
- Use a deep cleansing face mask to make your face free from any dirt or oil which could be left over.
- If you have dull and dry skin, exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin layers or patches.
- Also, always remember that sensitive and oily skin may feel irritated due to exfoliation. You should avoid exfoliation in case you have pimples or blemishes to prevent bacteria from spreading.

- Work with the cream blush on the apples of your cheek. For this, you need to simply smile and blend in from the temples to the apples with a brush or with your fingers. Make gentle strokes while blending in.
